Mike Leasor began his career as a teacher and high school coach in Cedar Hill, Texas. Following graduation from Law School, Mike moved into administration spending the next five years with Cedar Hill ISD as General Counsel performing legal services, policy development and the risk management functions as an Assistant Superintendent.
After twelve years with Cedar Hill ISD, Mike moved on to perform the duties of General Counsel and Risk Manager for Kinro, Inc. and its subsidiaries. For the past ten years, Mike has enjoyed the non-stop practice of school law, serving many school districts throughout the state of Texas.
Mike served on the Mansfield Independent School District Board of Trustees for five years and is a former Mansfield ISD Education Foundation Board President, President of the Mansfield Historic Preservation Board, a former Board Member for the Wesley Mission Center, and a Member of the Mansfield Sunrise Rotary Club. Mike published an article in the School Law State Bar Section Report, served on the Board of Directors for the Texas Political Subdivisions Joint Self-Insurance Funds, is an Adjunct Professor of Advanced School Law at Dallas Baptist University and is a graduate of Leadership Southwest Leadership Training.
Mike attended Texas A&M University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree. He attended law school at what is now known as Texas A&M School of Law in Fort Worth. Mike enjoys advocating for school districts and playing an active role in his community.
