She worked for the United States Military Community Activity, Engineering Plans and Services Division in Ansbach, Germany at the time the Berlin Wall came down. In 2004, Stacy graduated from what is now known as Texas A&M University School of Law. As a student, she worked in the Family Law Clinic. During this time she developed a passion for helping others. Additionally, Stacy has been an active participant in defending Department of Family and Protective Services (CPS) custody cases. For 22 years she has handled CPS court appointment cases, foster parent adoptions, representation of foster children, and CPS defense.
In recent years, Stacy has expanded her practice to include education law, representing school districts in a variety of legal matters. She advises and defends districts in student discipline and expulsion proceedings, ensuring that proper policies and procedures are followed. Stacy handles student and teacher grievances, guiding districts through formal grievance processes with thoroughness and care. She also assists districts in responding to EEOC complaints and subpoenas, helping administrators navigate these sensitive matters efficiently and in accordance with the law. Additionally, she manages open records requests, ensuring districts meet their obligations under the Texas Public Information Act while protecting information that is appropriately exempt from disclosure.
In her free time, Stacy enjoys spending time with her family, live music, and traveling.
