Profile

Bobby Padgett has been practicing law since 1992 and practices in all state and many federal courts. Beginning his career, Bobby has served as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney in Contra Costa County, California, and as a Deputy District Attorney in Bexar County, Texas. During this tenure in public service, he prosecuted a variety of criminal offenses and was thoroughly involved in all aspects of the legal process from investigation of the offense to successfully arguing its appeal.

Since leaving public service, Bobby has represented public and private sector clients in litigation involving employment, construction, products liability, business and contract disputes. He is a skilled litigator with extensive experience handling cases from conception to presentation before a judge or jury.

Bobby currently represents the firm’s governmental clients in all aspects of education law and general civil, governmental, and insurance litigation including the areas of contract formation and negotiation, employee, student and parent grievances, Texas Public Information Act issues, matters arising before the Office of Civil Rights, and general litigation involving all aspects of school law. Bobby regularly advises, attends and represents the firm’s many Boards of Trustees in all areas of school district operations. He represents the firm’s private clients in general civil litigation involving real estate, contract, and business matters.

In addition to his litigation experience, Bobby is a certified civil and family law Mediator and BBB certified arbitrator.  Bobby has conducted a great many mediations. Also, he has drafted and argued several appellate cases before various Courts of Appeal in Texas.

Bobby and his wife are very involved with their local Church.
